A handsome black and white greyhound named Breeze used to sneakily steal
food. One day on his walk along the forest path, he spotted some
sausages. He loved sausages. Without a second thought, he snuck over and
stole them, quickly eating them to hide the evidence.
The sausages belonged to a grumpy old goblin of the forest. He was not
amused. He may have been old, but was still very quick and he caught up
with the greyhound and used his goblin powers to turn him into a sock
puppet.
Breeze's hoomans were so distraught. Their beloved boy was now just a
sock puppet. A friend told them they knew of a kindly white witch who
also lived in the forest, and that she may be able to reverse the curse.
They sought out Clara, the white witch and told her what the grumpy
goblin had done to Breeze. She thought for a while then smiled and said
that she could help. The next day, they went back and she'd made a magic
potion which she sprinkled over Breeze and said a few quiet words that
the hoomans couldn't quite make out.
Suddenly, Breeze popped out and was back to his old self. But, there
were conditions. Fluent in dogspeak, Clara told him that it was very
naughty to take things that weren't his and he must promise never to do
such a thing again, otherwise, it would render her spell void, and he
would once again become a sock puppet, but this time, there was no
reversal - he would stay a sock puppet forever. He shamefully nodded his
head and agreed that from now, he would be a reformed dog.
Breeze kept his word and went on to live a full and happy life. Much to
the sheer joy of his hoomans.
